A Gewinde-Grenzlehrdorn is a blend of a Gutlehrdorn and an Ausschusslehrdorn. The Ausschuss side of the Gewindelehrdorn bears a red ring. The Gut side of the Gewindelehrdorn should screw into the cut thread of a workpiece by hand, without extra force. If it doesn't, the thread doesn't meet the desired standards (Ausschuss). The Ausschuss side can screw in by hand, up to two turns, without extra force. If it goes further, the thread doesn't meet the desired standards. The reference temperature for workpieces and gauges is 20°C. VÖLKEL can provide a factory calibration certificate upon request. Calibration is done in an independent lab, following set standards (DIN, ISO, ANSI), on IAC-Gewindescannern.
